All the applications will require you to meet with CIP staff to create a solid academic plan. This will ensure that the program that you are applying for matches your academic needs in order to graduate on time.

The purpose of filling out the Academic Planning Worksheet is to make sure that your courses will be accredited back to Saint Mary’s and fulfill your requirements. We want to make sure you have plenty of courses pre-approved to help stay on track towards graduation. 通过预先批准几门课程, students registering for classes abroad will know their options while registering abroad, 在几个时区之外，这将是非常有用的.

Just like during the application process when you had to get your courses pre-approved by your Department Chair and/or Academic Advisor, 你在国外注册的任何新课程都必须得到批准. You can use the template provided above (in the Academic Planning Worksheet section) to reach out to faculty and send them the course description and/or syllabus via email and asking them to approve the course and identify the SMC equivalent. Be sure to forward the virtual approval to the Center for International Programs (studyabroad@elahomecollection.com).
